REAShield

Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the REAShield website, web scanner, command line tool and paid plans (the "Service"), operated by Q-Axiom ("we", "us") in Australia. By using the Service or subscribing you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does

REAShield scores how much of a JavaScript or Electron application an automated analysis tool could extract (the exposure score), and, on paid plans, applies hardening such as obfuscation, IPC channel randomisation and optional V8 bytecode compilation. The scanner and the scan command are free. The harden command requires an active paid licence.

2. No guarantee of protection

Hardening raises the cost and effort of reverse engineering. It does not make software impossible to reverse engineer, and it does not stop people copying what your app visibly does. The exposure score is an estimate from static analysis and is not a security audit or a guarantee. You are responsible for testing hardened builds before you release them, because obfuscation and bytecode can change behaviour or break in some environments. Do not rely on REAShield as your only protection for secrets: keep real secrets out of shipped code.

3. Your account, licence and plans

4. Acceptable use

You must only scan or harden software you own or are authorised to work on. You must not use the Service to hide malware, to evade lawful security scanning, to infringe someone else's rights, to attack or overload the Service, or to break the law. We may suspend or end access if you breach this section.

5. Your code

You keep all rights to your code and hardened builds. Code you upload to the web scanner is analysed in memory and not stored (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for having the right to submit it. We claim no ownership of your output.

6. Billing, renewal and cancellation

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise it will always be available or error free. We may update, improve or withdraw features. If we withdraw a paid feature you are using, we will give reasonable notice and you may cancel.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under that law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is", and we exclude all other warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from a hardened build failing, being reverse engineered or being copied. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Where a consumer guarantee cannot be excluded, our liability for breach is limited, where the law allows, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

10. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 2, 5, 8, 9 and 12) survive ending.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is material we will give notice, and continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
